Important Dates for the Application and Admission
This year the admission tests will start with the ‘KHA’ Unit and will end with the ‘GHA’ Unit. Candidates will not get the opportunity to take the admission test a second time. Some of the important dates such as the start and end of online application time are given below.

Minimum Requirements of DU Admission 2024
The minimum qualification of the applicants for admission is a minimum total GPA of 8.5 (3.5 separately in SSC and HSC) for Unit ‘Ka’ for Secondary / Equivalent and Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination (including 4th subject).
The minimum qualification of the applicants for admission is a minimum total GPA of 8.0 (3.0 separately in SSC and HSC) for Unit ‘Kha’ for Secondary / Equivalent and Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination (including 4th subject).
The minimum qualification of the applicants for admission is a minimum total GPA of 8.0 (3.5 separately in SSC and HSC) for Unit ‘Ga’ for Secondary / Equivalent and Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination (including 4th subject).
The sum of the GPAs in the humanities for the ‘Gha’ unit is a minimum of 8.0 (separately 3.0) and in the case of the science branch, the sum of the two GPAs is a minimum of 8.5 (3.5 separately).
And the sum of the GPAs in the ‘Cha’ unit must have a minimum of 7.0 (GPA 3.0 separately) for the Secondary / Equivalent and Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination (including 4th subject).

Marks Distribution for the Dhaka University Admission Test
Dhaka University (DU) is going to implement new rules for admission tests which will include written part along with the multiple choices Question (MCQ). In the past, the admission test only included multiple choice questions, and the written part was not needed. In its July 3rd, 2020 session, the deans’ committee of the university discussed the issue. In the upcoming admission test for the 2020-21 academic session, the committee agreed to introduce the new system.
The new system would require admission applicants to take part in a 60-mark MCQ test and a 40-mark written examination. The students will get 45 minutes for the written examination, while the MCQ exam will take 45 minutes. In the written exam, inside the question paper, the students will have blank space to write their answers.
At the meeting, it was decided to take MCQ of 60 marks and written test of 40 marks in the admission test of ‘Ka’, ‘Kha’, ‘Ga’ and ‘Gha’ units. It was decided to take MCQ of 40 marks and written test of 80 marks only in the ‘Cha’ unit examination. Units ‘Ka’, ‘Kha’, ‘Ga’ and ‘Gha’ have 45 minutes for the MCQ test and 45 minutes for the written test. ‘Cha’ Unit is scheduled for 30 minutes for the MCQ test and 45 minutes for the written test.
